Happy New year!!! Hooray 2010

Everyone I hopw had a safe and happy New Years eve. I don't know about most of you but usually i stay home on New Years Eve. the number of drunk dtiving instances almost triples. I used to be a bartender and believe me I have seen my share of accidents. I also don't think that a DWI is the right way to bring in the new year. I know for most of us the year 2009 brought alot of pain and suffering to alot of people. This year the sad reality set in that I have been laid off for ayear this week. I was watching the news the other day and the nations unmployment rate is still at 10 %. This means 10 % of Americans are still out of work. That is a scary statistic considering we are getting ready to send more of our people to war. I have to say that I so hope 2010 does bring new life to the United States and that the families that are struggling find jobs so American's can regain some  dignity. I also hope the job market opens up so I can find a job. I wish everyone the best of luck and Happy new year!!!! See everyone in seminar.54

  1. Hey Lisa!
Yes! 2009 has been quite a year to remember. I am hoping 2010 will be better. As long as I can remain in school is all that I hope for. As it turns out I could graduate in Dec. of 2010. I'm glad you decided to stay home for New Years Eve. I had to work till 10:30 and was able to watch the ball drop with my family, including the fur children. I bought sparkling cider and we toasted in the new year. So many people were coming into the drug store where I work. Half of them were already drunk. I said a silent prayer for them all. I hate hearing of people who have died on this night. My Aunt Mary was one of them many years ago. She was a waitress and some guy convinced her to ride his snow mobile. They hit a cord to a telephone pole, which she then hit with her head. I was only 8 when that happened. There are so many stories of sorrow, you would think people would be more responsible.
I don't mean to be so remorse with my writing. I just don't understand the logic of being so irresponsible.
I do hope your employment situation will be resolved soon. Although it is nice to be able to stay home, it does become boring.

    Have a Happy New Year!

    Mary
